Ok, so the story goes that I was told this design by a local fishing guide (my uncle-in law). He swore to me that this was how to trap live bait, and that this bait trap outfished the clover leaf trap… I love the clover leaf, so I was certainly skeptical! This bait fish trap comes ready to catch live bait!!! There is 1 door on the trap: All you need is to open it and let your bait out.The fish trap itself is made of 1/2 in. hardware cloth. It is Galvanized, and Rust Resistant. All you have to do is: (1) put your bait in the trap (bread / dog food / etc) (2) throw the trap and shallow water (3) tie the trap off and THAT’S IT!!! Very easy to use.
